Lot Description
Bonnie Cashin Coat and Top with Sketch, 1960s 

This lot inclues a coat, top, and copy of a sketch. 

The copy of the sketch features the coat and the signature of the designer "Bonnie Cashin" and the message "Canvas big like a tent - Alpaca inside a shaggy furry collar - big." The sketch features a swatch of the orange canvas of the coat that is stapled to the top left of the copy of the sketch. 

The oversized coat is made of orange cotton, leather cuffs, and a Mongolian lamb fur collar. The coat is cut with a wide collar, long sleeves, two large pockets on the front, and two leather buckles at the center front. The coat is lined with orange plush. The top is made of an orange/red alpaca loosely woven fabric cut with a wide scoop neckline, long sleeves, and a wide sweeping hem that is edged with orange suede. There are two pockets on the front that are edged with orange suede.

Condition Report
Condition: 

The overall condition of the coat and dress is good. The coat shows some signs of wear on the two front leather buckles. The top shows some signs of wear on the surface and some stretching around the shoulders from hanging. The overall condition of the copy of the sketch is good. 

Everything is sold 'As Is’. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. The absence of any reference to the condition of a lot does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
