Manuscript copy of "General Orders No. 34." "Hd. Quarters Middle Military Division, 23 March 1865. 4pp, 7 1/2 x 12 3/4 in. (creased, light wear to creases, toning to edges). Orders prescribe the "means of transportation, and Camp & Garrison equipage, allowed for the armies of the Middle Military Division." -- Manuscript copy of a letter to Major General Hancock from Assistant Adjutant General Thomas M. Vincent. Washington, DC, 21 December 1865. 2pp,  7 5/8 x 9 5/8 in. (creased, light wear with some tears to creases, soiling to edges). Letter refers to an earlier letter from General Hancock discussing surplus officers of the I Army Corps. Letter outlines plans for the removal of officers from regiments and companies falling below minimum numbers due to discharges. Signed by First Lieutenant and Post Adjutant John C. Turrell ("Jno C. Turrell"). -- Together, 2 manuscript copy documents.
