[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 33 sixth plate daguerreotypes of attractive women of varying ages.
Seated portrait of a young woman having her hair arranged in a braided bun, and wearing earrings and a patterned neck accessory. (Some tarnishing to edges, minor spotting to plate; possible original seals.) housed in a leatherette case (surface wear, cracking throughout, some splitting to spine). The woman's neck tie is pinned with a brooch that has been embellished to make it appear bejeweled. -- Seated portrait of a lovely woman resting one arm on a table next to her. (Spotting and tarnishing to plate; original seals.) Housed in a pressed paper case with floral design (surface wear). Label affixed to velvet pad bears ink inscription with the identity and life dates of the subject: "Sally W. Patten, Mar. W.C. Hum[?], b. Oct. 16. 1832, mar. 1852, d. Nov. 12. 1903." -- And 31 others, including a few portraits of women with long, curled hair. Together, 33 sixth plate daguerreotype portraits of women, many without full/cases.
