[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 34 sixth plate and quarter plate daguerreotypes of pairs of brothers & sisters
Sixth plate landscape-oriented portrait of two siblings, a boy and a girl. (Light spotting and light tarnishing to plate, great clarity and contrast, some tarnishing to mat; resealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case (surface wear throughout). The girl wears a beaded necklace and sits in a wooden chair while her brother stands next to her wearing a shirt with copious vertical stitching. -- Quarter plate portrait of two young siblings, standing next to a studio table. (Very light tarnishing/wear to edges, spotting to mat; resealed.) Housed in a fully separated leatherette case (split at spine, heavy surface wear, some loss). The young girl wears earrings and a necklace, while the young boy wears an embroidered jacket and pants. -- And 32 others, including 2 quarter plate examples and 30 sixth plate examples. Many without cases. Conditions vary.
