[ABOLITIONISTS - WRITERS - ARTISTS]. 4 autographs, incl. Wm. Lloyd GARRISON & Gerrit SMITH.

GARRISON, William Lloyd (1805-1879), abolitionist and journalist. Autograph inscription signed ("Wm. Lloyd Garrison"). Boston, MA, 18 June 1872. 5 x 2 1/4 in., on lined paper (possibly trimmed). Inscription reads, "Liberty for each, for all, and for ever!"

SMITH, Gerrit (1797-1874), abolitionist. Autograph letter signed ("Gerrit Smith"). 17 November 1864. 1 page, 4 1/2 x 6 in. (folds, light toning). Smith writes to a friend, thanking him for an invitation (handwriting difficult to discern). 

TUCKERMAN, Henry T. (1813-1871), writer and critic. Autograph letter signed ("Henry T. Tuckerman"). No. 4 NY University, New York, 13 March 1858. 1 page, 4 3/4 x 7 1/4 in. (folds, residue to left edge verso, some edge and corner wear). Addressed to Rev. Sprague, Tuckerman discusses two new volumes sent with his acknowledgements. 

NAST, Thomas (1840-1902), illustrator. Clipped signature ("Th. Nast"). 12 October 1871. 4 1/2 x 2 1/4 in., on lined paper.
