Native American mother and child by Benjamin Arthur Gifford, The Dalles, OR. 4 x 5 1/2 in. photograph on cardstock mount (very good condition). -- Native American mother with child in an outdoor setting by Irwin, Chickasha, Indian Territory. 4 x 5 1/2 in. photograph on cardstock mount (significant wear to print and mount, including loss particularly to lower right corner). -- Pueblo woman, uncredited, 1930. 5 x 7 1/8 in. silver gelatin photograph.
[With:] Mojave Indians at the Needles. Uncredited. 8 x 6 in. image on gelatin printing-out paper (complete horizontal separation near left edge of print, impacting scene). -- Photograph of Mojave subjects, including mother with infant and aged women in the foreground. Modern document identifies the photographer/or previous collector as Gordon L. Fritz. 9 x 7 in. photograph on cardstock (toning to print, edge wear). -- 2 photographs of San Ildefonso Pueblo women potters. Uncredited, 6 x 4 in. silver gelatin prints (light edge wear).
[With:] 7 photographs of blanketed Native American subjects, ranging from 4 x 5 1/2 in. cabinet card photographs to 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 silver gelatin photographs (fair to good condition, many with wear to prints and mounts). Most photographs lack a caption and are uncredited, with the exception of a cabinet card of four Native American young women credited to Hanson, Lewiston, Idaho (crease through lower left corner of print and mount), and a silver gelatin print of two young Native American women standing in a studio credited to Gunnell & Robb, Salem, Oregon (dampstaining to lower margin of mount).
[Also with:] First Nations family in a wagon, 1940. 5 3/4 x 3 1/2 in. (including margins). -- Outdoor photograph of a smiling Native American child, ca early 1900s. 3 x 3 1/4 in. silver gelatin photograph on cardstock mount (edge and corner wear to mount). -- 2 stereoviews of Native subjects, one published by Underwood & Underwood, the other published by Pestalozzi Educational View Co.
