[MILITARIA]. Large collection of excavated relics, many from Civil War battlefields.
Hundreds of items, variety of forms including grapeshot, bullets, minie balls, and canon balls, predominantly from Civil War and Revolutionary War, some with later notations handwritten on object identifying location found and/or conflict: ""White Plains New York 1776"; "Champlain Valley"; "Vicksburg"; "Somerset, PA"; "Grape / Rev War / Erie NY"; and a partial fragment "This object was found in the Shiloh Area, August 6, 1978." Other items identified to Gettysburg, Cold Harbor, Port Hudson, Franklin, and Petersburg.
[With:] 3 x 2 1/4 in. box of unopened "Frankford Arsenal / 1863. / 8 Second Fuzes." (*Cannot be shipped - must be picked up in person.)
