[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 22 quarter and sixth plate daguerreotype portraits of pairs and trios.
Quarter plate portrait of three young women, possibly sisters, each wearing at least one piece of gold-highlighted jewelry. (Tarnishing to edges, spotting throughout plate; original seals.) Housed in a fully separated pressed paper case (split at spine, velvet pad missing, closure clasp loose, surface wear). -- Seated portrait of a pair of young women, one with curled hair and posed with her eyes and body facing the camera, the other with her hair pinned up, and with her body turned slightly away from the camera and her eyes looking off-camera. (Tarnishing to edges, some small scratches and significant spotting throughout plate and to mat; resealed.) Housed in a half leatherette case. -- Seated portrait of a pair of beautiful young ladies, one posed with her hand on the other's leg. (Some light tarnishing along edge, no preserver present.) Housed in a half pressed paper case. -- And 19 others, including 4 quarter plate and 15 sixth plate examples. Conditions vary. Some without full cases. -- Together, 22 daguerreotype portraits of pairs and trios of men and women.
