Attributed to John Flory (1767-1836), Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, Dated 1791
dated 1791, initialed JS, and partially inscribed Diese Kist[e] Gehert Mir [This chest belongs to me], appears to retain the original paint, wrought-iron strap hinges and carrying handles, lacking the lock mechanism.
