Lot Description
Belgian Made Norwegian Nagant Revolver
World War I
7.5mm. 4.5" barrel length. SN: 4134. Blued metal finish with nitre blued springs that has been buffed overall and mounting checkered two-piece walnut grips. Double action loading-gate revolver featuring a six-shot cylinder. Left frame is struck BREVET NAGANT above the serial number and inspector initial MP monogram mark of Jacob Maximilian Gran Paaske, typical of Norwegian Nagant revolvers. The serial number places this in the fourth series of Nagant Revolvers inspected by Lieutenant Paaske in 1896. Further inspection and proof marks include the {Crown/R} mark to the right barrel, {Star/P} on the barrel and frame, and {Rampant Lion} to the right frame. Further marks include the {Crown/ELG} Belgian proof mark and {Star/P} on the rear cylinder. Comes with a leather holster that shows a {Crown/N} mark on the interior body and mounts a shoulder strap and tie down.
