**L.C. Smith for Hunter Arms Company 3E Grade Shotgun
12 Gauge. 32" barrel lengths. SN: 207698. 2.75" Chamber lengths. Full chokes. Blued metal finish with color case hardened frame and mounting a Walnut semi-pistol grip stock with splinter forend and black synthetic butt. Double barrel side by side sidelock ejector shotgun featuring a tang safety mechanism and single selector trigger. Sideplates display the maker marking L.C. SMITH beside vignettes of a pair of quail on the left plate and ducks swimming on the right. Spiral scroll engraving and border scroll embellishments applied over the frame with wheat scroll flowing over the dollshead. Barrels are struck HUNTER ARMS CO. FULTON. N.Y. on top with the trademark for Crown Steel beneath each barrel along with 3E grade marking. Water tables show a two-line patent marking reading PAT'D. MAY 13. 86/PAT'D OCT.5-86. with the trigger plate marked HUNTER ONE TRIGGER. Forend patent marking reads PAT'D MAY 28, 1901.
