[CIVIL WAR]. Military sutler script from Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana regiments, plus. 

Large collection of identified sutler script from regiments in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, comprising:

Group of 32, 11th Michigan Infantry, January- July 1865. -- 12th Michigan Infantry (1), March 1866. -- 3rd Michigan Cavalry (1), March 1866. -- 10th Michigan Cavalry (1), November 1865. -- Group of 3, 74th Indiana Regiment, December (?) 1864-January 1865. -- 8th Infantry, US Army (1), 1865. -- Manuscript note, March 1866. -- 5 covers, two of which include 3-cent stamps. One with Washington, 9 June 1863 cancellation. These likely contained some of the script offered here.

[With:] 11 partially printed and manuscript notes or checks, ca 1850s-1860s. Examples include: Bank of Louisiana $5 note, 186?. -- J.N. Bradford & Co., New Orleans, LA, $3 note. -- Bank of Louisiana check, June 1856. -- 2 receipts from Forsyth County, NC, 1852. -- Post Office Department check, November 1853.

Together, a collection of more than 50 items, including sutler script and other notes. Condition consistent with age and use, including toning, soiling, folds, edge and corner wear.
