Lot Description
** Pair of High Standard Sport Kings Pistols

1.) .22 LR. 5.675" barrel length. SN: 359560. Blued metal finish with refinished slide and checkered synthetic thumb rest grips. Striker-action simple blowback operated autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. The left barrel is marked  HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP./NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. with the left slide marked SPORT-KING between two lightning bolts. Sights consist of a matted front blade and drift adjustable rear notch. Comes with one magazine.

2.) .22 LR. 4.5" barrel length. SN: 1885083. Blued metal finish with checkered synthetic stocks featuring High Standard medallions and matted front ramp and rear notch sights. Striker action simple blowback operated autoloading pistol fed by detachable single stack magazines. The left slide is marked HI-STANDARD and the frame SPORT KING. The right slide bears the MODEL 103 marking next to the barrel address mark of HIGH STANDARD MFG. CORP./HAMDEN, CONN. U.S.A. Underside of the barrel is struck CL followed by a {Maltese Cross}. Item comes with one matching magazine and another that does not fully seat.

Condition Report

1.) Very Good as Refinished. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. The bluing overall shows scattered light scratches with some spots of brown patina forming in the following areas: in a mottled pattern to the rear slide and upper rear frame, in one spot on the forward gripstrap, at the left muzzle, and in some flecks to the top of the slide. The finish on the slide shows a red fire blued color suggesting it has been touched up or refinished. Grips have some light scratches. There is a crack to the right panel from the rear edge through the screw hole, along with some nicks on the thumb shelf of the left grip.

2.) Very Good. Bore is Very Bright with crisp rifling throughout. The blued finish overall is strong with some weakness and brown patina forming on the trigger. Some patched losses to the blue overall with brown patina forming on the right barrel and frame, right and top of slide, and on the backstrap. The grips show some light scratches with residue in the checkering on the left panel. There is a split in the left panel behind the safety that has been repaired with glue.
