.30 Luger. 3.75" barrel length. SN: 3090p. Blued metal finish with straw colored small parts and checkered walnut stocks. Short recoil operated toggle-locked autoloading pistol fed by detachable eight-shot magazines and utilizing a striker action. The toggle link shows the manufacturer marking DWM for Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken. The left frame has the export mark GERMANY struck into it, and the item shows the typical reduced number of serial markings and proof marks typical of commercial production Luger pattern pistols. The barrel, bolt, and barrel extension are both struck with the {Crown/N} commercial proof mark. Matching serial marks visible on the takedown lever, the sideplate, left trigger, the barrel, and the rear toggle. Grips are not marked. Item comes with one refinished magazine mounting a black synthetic plug.
Fair. Bore is Frosty with some residues that should clean to Bright with strong rifling. The blued finish is weak with thinning over the barrel and upper frame along with some patched losses on the flanks of the frame indicative of possible water damage. There are some spots of oxidation forming along the edges of the grip panels. Interior of the barrel extension shows some pitting along the right hand rail that corresponds with a similar pattern of pitting on the right bolt. The grip panels are worn and discolored with the checkering worn flat on much of the right panel. The left panel also shows extensive use and wear, with both displaying some chipping on the upper edges.
