Lot Description
** Refurbished 1902 Production Colt Single Action Army Revolver

.45 LC. 5.5" barrel length. SN: 233530. (Mfg. ca.1902) Blued metal refinish with color casehardened frame, polished hammer flanks, and Rampant Colt logo hard rubber grips that have grip serrations carved into them. The frame has been struck with the two line patent marking followed by the {Rampant Colt} within a circle. Serial numbers on the gripstraps match the frame. The cylinder lacks a serial number, and the barrel is numbered 9980. Colt's single line address to the top of the barrel reads COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO HARTFORD CT. U.S.A., and the left barrel has been marked 45. COLT. The cylinder and barrel both show shallow DFC inspector markings for Government inspector David F. Clark. Further inspection marks include the initial P to the barrel and the cylinder, along with G and D marks beneath the ejector rod housing. The hammer recess is marked W, and the loading gate has been stamped 467. The interiors of the grips have been carved with three different sets of initials: VP and HF on the left panel, and AL and VP on the right.

This lot is located in Cincinnati.
Condition Report

Very Good as Refinished. Bore is Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Casehardened finish is wearing down on the rear of the recoil shield and over the loading gate. The trigger flanks and spur show a gray patina forming. Barrel shows a scratch through the blue where the ejector rod head rests, and some muzzle wear. Grips are worn with the checkering worn flat and the logos having lost most of their details. Cylinder has a continuous drag line, and the action times and indexes correctly, but the lockup shows some wiggle and is loose on two chambers.
