Lever action tubular magazine rifle with second model dust cover rail secured by screws, a semi-buckhorn rear sight and a dovetailed blade front sight. Barrel with two-line "King's Improvement" address and patent marking. Barrel with "44" caliber markings but bottom of lifter with incorrect "38 Cal" marking. Butt trap for cleaning rods is empty.
