Lot Description
**DWM Model 1900 Luger Pistol
.30 Luger. 4.7" barrel length. SN: 22004. Blued metal finish with straw colored and nitre blued small parts mounting checkered walnut grip panels. Short recoil operated toggle locked striker-fired pistol fed by detachable single-stack magazines. The toggle link is struck with the DWM logo of Deutsche Waffen Und Munitionsfabriken, appropriate to the 1900 commercial production, and additionally displays many features typical of that model. These include: the 0.33" early narrow trigger, polished strip safety marking, the use of a two-piece flat spring for the mainspring as opposed to the later coil spring, dished toggle link, grip safety mechanism, and old model long frame. Item displays the standard commercial proof markings including 172,28 on the underside of the barrel, and {Crown/B} and {Crown/U} marks on the barrel, left receiver, and on the flanks of the breech block and toggle link. The serial numbers match where observed on the grip safety, frame, trigger, sideplate, takedown latch, breechblock, toggle link, rear toggle, barrel, and receiver. No serial numbers appear on the grip panels, though the right is struck B and the left with an asterisk marking. Additionally, the magazine base plug is non numbered, correct for commercial Lugers. The firing pin has been replaced with a P08 pattern pin that was resized and fitted with a rough brass stop. Toggle pin is also replaced.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
