Lot Description
**1st Generation Colt Single Action Army
.45 Long Colt. 4.75" barrel length. SN: 322383 (mfg. ca.1912). Blued metal finish with casehardened frame and mounting replacement two-piece {Rampant Colt} logo synthetic grips. Single action loading gate revolver with topstrap notch and front blade sights. Item features a smokeless powder frame, rifling, and a scalloped firing pin. Left frame shows the two-line patent marker followed by the {Rampant Colt} within a circle marking. Top of the barrel features a single-line address reading COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A. A VP monogram proof is struck into the left triggerguard, along with the initial W. An assembly number of 646 has been struck into the rear of the loading gate.

Condition Report
Good. Bore is dirty with firing residue throughout that should clean to Bright or better with crisp rifling. A mottled brown patina dominates overall with some blue remaining on the edges of the barrel and around the ejector rod housing. Light pitting to the cylinder over each chamber with some additional pitting overall. Further light pitting to the frame and forming in patches along the barrel, and along the full length of the ejector rod housing. Firing pin shows some wear. Grip retain their details and bluing to the mounting screw. Action displays good timing.
