Single action smokeless powder frame revolver with loading gate, frame notch rear sight, blade front sight and six-chambered fluted cylinder. Barrel with late production one-line address, lower left side of frame with three-date in two-line patent mark followed by the Rampant Colt logo. Left side of barrel marked 32 W.C.F. Matching serial numbers on frame, triggerguard and butt, cylinder and barrel are not numbered as is correct for this era of production. Grips are mismatched and scratch numbered 2948. The revolver is accompanied by a Colt Factory Letter that confirms the caliber, barrel length and finish configuration of the gun and notes that it was shipped to Marshall-Wells Hardware Company in Duluth, MN on October 19, 1901 as part of a total of ten Single Action Army revolvers in the shipment.
