Back action percussion lock marked GALLAGER'S PATENT/JULY 17TH 1860 in two lines at the tail and MANUFACTURED BY/RICHARDSON & OVERMAN/PHILADA over the serial number directly behind the hammer. The second two lines are essentially illegible with only the first line and serial number fully readable.
