Lot Description
Randall Model 1 Micarta Hilt
7" blade length. 4.25" hilt. 12.75" overall with scabbard and hilt. Drop point Bowie knife with first 3" of the back edge sharpened and mounting black Micarta grips with wide tang construction, a brass guard, and lanyard loop to the pommel. Left blade is marked RANDALL MADE/ORLANDO, FL. between {Sabers} and followed by S, indicating the blade is stainless steel. Item comes in a leather sheath with pouch for a sharpening stone. Obverse of the sheath is struck RANDALL MADE/KNIVES/ORLANDO, FLA.

Founded by Bo Randall in 1938, Randall Made Knives soon became well known for their quality and durability. Thousands of his hand-made knives were acquired by American military personnel during World War II, with Randall devising his first numerically assigned models especially for military service. This modern version of the World War II era Model 1 knife mounts rustproof Micarta grips on a stainless blade.

Condition Report
Excellent. Blade is bright with keen edges. Guard shows some traces of tarnish forming on the surfaces in contact with the scabbard. Micarta grips are without obvious signs of handling. Sheath shows few faint scratches and some light stains.
