Lot Description
Jimmy Lile Knife with Sheath
4.875" blade length. 4.3" long handle. 10.25" overall with sheath and hilt. Single edged bowie knife featuring a brass guard and full tang construction with black Micarta grips, brass fasteners, and a lanyard loop to the pommel. Left ricasso is signed simply LILE with a dot above the I and L. Comes with a leather sheath stamped on the obverse side with Lile Handmade Knives/The Arkansas Knifesmith/Russellville, AR/501-968-2011. A full time knifemaker from 1971, James "Jimmy" Lile continued to produce handmade knives until his death in 1991. The company now bearing his name continues to offer a wide variety of knives following Lile's original patterns. The best known of these being the enormous clip-point serrated bowie knives that Lile produced for the movie "Rambo: First Blood", starring Sylvester Stallone.

Condition Report
Very Good. Blade retains a bright polish and keen edge. Some tarnish forming on the brass guard with corresponding residues appearing on the interior face of the sheath belt loop. Grips show some faint scratches with further traces of tarnish to the lanyard loop. Sheath has some scuffs along the outer edges and stains along the interior face of the belt loop.
