Lot of Two U.S. Civil War Socket Bayonets & Scabbards: Model 1835 and Model 1855
American Civil War
1.) US Model 1835 Socket Bayonet & Pattern 1857 Scabbard. 18" blade with 16.5" face flute marked US on the ricasso. 2.65" socket mortised for a bottom stud with rotating locking ring. Includes a US 1857 pattern scabbard with two-rivet frog and correct two-pin scabbard tip.
2.) US Model 1855 Socket Bayonet & Pattern 1864 Scabbard. 18" blade with 16.75" face flute marked US/J on the ricasso. 3" socket mortised for a top stud with rotating locking ring. Includes a US 1864 pattern scabbard with eight-rivet blacked buff leather frog and correct four-pin scabbard tip.
