Lot Description

Civil War Smith Patent first lieutenant of infantry shoulder straps. 

4 1/2 x 1 3/4 in. double bordered first lieutenant of infantry straps (some holes to center fabric, one strap with brass separating from rest of strap on one end, other strap with some bending to brass on one end). Straps feature stamped brass border rows and rank devices, sky blue wool centers, and scarce tin backs.
