Markings include “Patented May 20, 1862,” “The Ridgewood Patent & Tobacco Case,” “By the Ridgewood MF Co.,” “Office / 420 Broadway / New York.” The name "Wm. H. Wiener" is engraved on a blue background inside the metal case, and engravings of a locomotive and a military camp scene are also included.
