6 1/2 x 8 3/4 in. (sight) albumen print on mount, framed (toning and light surface soil throughout, unexamined out of the frame). Title printed in the negative at top. Publication information printed on mount recto, “Entered according to act of Congress, in the year 1870, by Fred. C. Low, East Cambridge, Mass., in the Office of the Librarian of Congress, at Washington DC.” Actual image taken of the famous 1865 corps badge poster, featuring vibrant hand tinting in red, blue, green, yellow, and gold. RARE: Only known example.
