Box interior features pencil inscription reading, "George Newcomb / [indecipherable]," and retains 2-cent revenue stamp marked, "Am C. Co.  Mar 1864."

Red and white box advertises the "introduction of National Emblems" in place of the traditional suits and faces. Specifically, "The Suits are Eagles, Shields, Stars and Flags. Goddess of Liberty in place of Queen, Colonel for King, Major for Jack."
