Engraving, 1855, image 36 1/4 x 22 1/8 in., matted and mounted to board, toned, some brown spotting.
A man seated at the center upon a carved throne with another orating surrounded by a gathered crowd of white men. At the foreground is a Native American man in native dress and a young Native American child next to a decorated bag. RARE: only 2 copies located at the National Portrait Gallery and the New York Public Library.
