Lot Description
[CIVIL WAR]. A group of 11 CDVs of Confederate officers and politicians, incl. Jefferson Davis, P.G.T. Beauregard, and Stonewall Jackson's family burial plot. 
John C. Breckenridge (after lithograph/engraving). Philadelphia: Levy & Cohen, n.d. (some fading, light toning). --  P.G.T. Beauregard (2, one after lithograph/engraving). First, New York: Charles D. Fredricks & Co., n.d. (some toning, light soiling, edges possibly trimmed). Second, uncredited view (spotting, soiling, edge and corner wear to mount). -- E. Kirby Smith (after lithograph/engraving). Richmond, VA: Vannerson & Jones, n.d. (scattered spotting, toning). -- Sterling Price (after lithograph/engraving). Uncredited view (toning, soiling, mount trimmed). -- Rebel Army of the Southwest. Composite CDV featuring small vignette portraits of Gardner, Hood, Forrest, Price, Bragg, Smith, and Johnston. Uncredited, but images from Brady negatives (toning, soiling, edge and corner wear to mount). --  Jefferson Davis (2, each after lithograph/engraving). First, uncredited bust portrait. Second, a portrait after a painting by Wm. M. Davis entitled "The Neglected Picture." New York: R.A. Lewis, 1862 (toning, occasional spotting). An early example of the satirical view showing a portrait of Davis inside a picture frame with shattered glass. -- John G. Floyd. New York: Brady, Anthony, n.d. (some fading, toning). -- John Slidell, Confederate diplomat to France, captured on the steamer Trent (possibly after lithograph/engraving). Uncredited portrait (few abrasions to print, edge and corner wear to mount). -- Outdoor view of the family burial plot of Stonewall Jackson and his family at Lexington, VA. Lexington, VA: Boude & Miley, ca 1869-1870 (toning, fading to print, surface abrasion near top right corner of print, edge and corner wear to mount). A rare image bearing Boude & Miley's blindstamp. 

Together, 11 CDVs with Confederate subject matter. Condition generally fair to good. Many with even toning, soiling, spotting, corner/edge wear to mounts.
