[CIVIL WAR - VETERAN ORGANIZATIONS]. Battle flag of Ohio parade ribbon and badge. 

 

Battle Flags of Ohio. Mexican War, Civil War, Spanish war, Last Parade. April 27th 1916. N.p.: N.p., 1916. Approx. 2 1/2 x 5 7/8 in. silver-gilt printed blue silk ribbon with stamped metal suspension pin and American flag ribbon. (minor wear to lower edge). 

 

[With:] Two-piece gilt bronze badge with silk tri-color ribbon. Approx. 1 3/4 x 4 in. (slight separations to ribbon, some minor tarnish). Suspension bar reads "Guest" with pin to verso. Suspended medallion reads "Ohio" with the state's seal. 

 

In early 1916, the state of Ohio invited veterans of the Mexican War, the Civil War, and the Spanish-American War to participate in a "last parade" of the Ohio battle flags as the state had purchased appropriate display cases.
