Receipt for $135 as part payment of "distribution share of a negro + land belonging other heirs of Jeremiah Kyser". 22 June 1847. Approx. 7 3/4 x 4 1/2 in. on blue paper. -- Receipt for $140 as "Guardian for Jeremiah Kyser MInor...being the distribution share of the proceeds of a certain negro Boy Slave by name John and also of a certain lot of lands." 8 September 1847. 7 7/8 x 5 1/4 in. -- Receipt for $172.15, his wife’s share of the proceeds “of the land + a Negro boy.” 8 September 1847. 7 7/8 x 4 7/8 in. -- Receipt for $30 to John Privoret for "guardianship for Jeremiah Kyser [Jr.] per the sale of the land + Negro." 18 October 1847. 7 7/8 x 5 3/4 in. -- Receipt for $40 in part payment. 18 October 1847. 7 5/8 x 4 3/4 in. -- Together, 5 manuscript receipts regarding the estate of Jeremiah Kyser, Sr., each [Wilcox County, Alabama], condition generally fine, uneven edges, occasional toning, minor offsetting. 

Jeremiah Kyser of Wilcox County, Alabama died in 1839 but his estate was not apparently settled until 1847.
