December 1846 permit in which the Mousam Navigation Company grants to Joseph Wells of Kennebunk in the county of York permission to operate one sailing vessel into and out of the Mousam River in Kennebunk through the new entrance and canal of said river.

[With:] "Names of the members of a Company draughted [sic] to do Garrison duty at Kennebunk point Sept 8th till Octr 8th 1814." Followed by a list of 19 names under command of Lieutenant George Wheelright. 1p, 8 x 10 in. Signed by Stevens and Kennebunk Justice of the Peace Edward Bourne. -- 1838 Treasury Department pension document related to the service of James Murray, US, deceased and transmitted care of Edward Bourne of Kennebunk.
