Rare Combination Captain's Bars and Colonel's Eagles Pin Back Shoulder Straps on a Blue Field
Straps are nominally 4" long by 1.47" wide with .3" wide gilt bullion boarders around a rich bluish-green velvet background. Each strap has two sets of captain's bars flanking a colonel's spread-winged eagle. All insignia is gilt brass bullion wire. Backing is black fabric with brass pin attachments. The interesting combination of rank insignia could not be located in any reference book. Further research could prove fruitful.
Condition Report
Fine. Bullion with traces of gilt and a rich patina on the wire. Straps with very light wear.
