.32 Winchester Special. 26" barrel length. SN: 428669. (Mfg. ca.1907) Blued metal finish with casehardened receiver and mounted in walnut two piece stock with curved buttplate and full length magazine tube. Lever-action repeating rifle fed by an internal tube magazine and mounting KING patent adjustable rear buckhorn and dovetailed front blade sights. The octagonal barrel is struck on the upper left flat with NICKEL STEEL BARREL/ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER. Top of the barrel shows Winchester's two-line address and patent mark forward of the rear sight, and is also struck with the Winchester firing proof behind the sight. The tang is marked MODEL 1894/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK.
Good. Bore is Frosty with some shallow pitting throughout and strong rifling. The Blued finish has faded overall with a gray patina dominating the edges and some flaking and abrasions scattered overall. The frame is a gray patina, with brown forming over the lever. The wood has a varnished finish with some scattered mars, discolorations, and indentations. Action is functional.
