Civil War hardtack in original mailing envelope. June 1863. 

3 x 3 in. cracker housed in its original makeshift newspaper envelope with postage and cancellation still intact and visible, indicating that the cracker was sent from Washington, DC to Delaware County, OH in June 1863.
