Poignant Civil War-period hand-colored drawing featuring a 34-star American flag waving over three soldiers removing their dead comrade from the battlefield. Presented to Alfred Maloy by Data Brailey with the exhortation to “Remember Me.”
The poem inscribed beneath the lifeless soldier and his comrades was meticulously printed with pencil by the artist in near perfect 1/16 in. letters.
