Lot Description
Belgian Turn-Off Pistol in Display Case and Two Pocket Cartridge Revolvers
1.) .48" caliber. 3" barrel length. SN: NSN. Bright metal finish with bag shaped walnut grips and flat trigger. Single shot percussion smoothbore turn off pistol with boxlock action and octagonal barrel. Item is unsigned and shows the Belgian ELG proof mark to the left frame and {Crown/F} inspection stamp on the rear barrel. Item comes in a black painted wood display case with purple velvet liner. Mounted in the case are a laminated label attributing this piece to M&M Books, and a display case containing a paper cartridge and one expended lead ball. An expended percussion cap remains affixed to the nipple.

2.) 7mm Pinfire. 3.375" barrel length. SN: 17. Bright metal finish with ivory grips and engraved embellishments to the metal parts. Double action loading gate revolver with six shot cylinder and folding trigger. The cylinder displays the ELG Belgian proof marking with further {Crown/I} inspection stamp to the barrel. Light spiral scroll engraving adorns the cylinder, frame, and the rear barrel. Item shows some light pitting that has been cleaned indicating it was buffed at some point.

3.) .32 Rimfire. 2.7" barrel length. SN: 384. Blued metal finish with varnished rosewood bird's head grips. Single action loading gate revolver with spur trigger and five shot cylinder. Serial numbers on the barrel, cylinder, cylinder pin, and frame all match. Topstrap is marked HOPKINS & ALLEN MFG. CO./BLUE JACKET NO 2/PAT. MAR. 26. 1871.

Condition Report
1.) Good. Bore is Very Dark with some patina throughout. Overall metal finish is a mottled gray to brown patina with rounded edges. The grips show handling mars, flaking to the finish, and a crack to the tang. Action is functional. Percussion cap on the nipple has oxidized. The wood case shows some scattered mars and light scratches. The display box for the bullets shows some peeling to the cardboard lid and the blue velvet liner has become uncentered.

2.) Good. Bore is Dark with brown patina throughout, some pitting, and some oxidation but visible rifling. Metal finish shows a pattern of brown patina forming on the cylinder with further mottling on the frame, rear barrel, and on the trigger. Item shows some light pitting on the interior frame, forward cylinder, and the forcing chamber that has been polished bright. Grips have yellowed and show some cracks forming through the screw hole escutcheons. A small chip to the right panel has been repaired. Action fails to index the cylinder and occasionally fails to cock and release the hammer.

3.) Good to Fine. Bore is Frosty with strong rifling throughout. Frame finish has taken on a gray to brown patina with bluing remaining on the barrel, and on the seams of the frame. Barrel shows edgewear and muzzle wear with streaking and weakness to the blue. The grips show handling wear, scratches, and some mars. Action times and indexes correctly.
