Nathan Starr Contract Enlisted Cavalry Saber circa 1818
Seminole Wars
32.25" curved semi-clip point single edged blade with 25" unstopped median fuller. Blade 1.25" wide at ricasso. Overall length 37.25". 5" hilt with inverted P guard and bird's head pommel with leather covered grooved wood grip. Blade retained by spanner nut in pommel cap. Obverse of blade marked US/P/LS/N STARR. Includes a black painted steel scabbard with two suspension rings.

Condition Report
Good. Blade dulling with some traces of polish and scattered surface oxidation with mottled discoloration. Edge with some nicks in it. Hilt with surface oxidation and some light surface rust. Leather grip covering with moderate wear and loss. Leather throat washer in place. Scabbard with added paint and scattered dings.
