Remington New Model Navy Percussion Revolver
American Civil War
.36" Caliber. 7.375" barrel length. SN: 30636. Blued metal finish with silver plated brass triggerguard and walnut grip panels. Single action percussion revolver with octagonal barrel and featuring a topstrap frame design. The top of the barrel is struck with the manufacturer marking PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858/E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK U.S.A./NEW MODEL. The serial numbers match on the frame and barrel.

Condition Report
Very Good. Bore is Frosty with some patina throughout and patches of pitting with strong rifling. The Barrel and cylinder show some signs of buffing on their flanks with the item showing primarily a dark brown patina with scattered dings and mars on the frame. Some pitting has formed on the inside of the topstrap, over the forcing cone, and on the flanks of the forward frame. Triggerguard has some dings and mars with the silver finish remaining on the flats and a deep gray tarnish. Grips show handling wear, some mars and dings. Grip show signs of sanding and the grip screw protrudes from the right panel. Action times and indexes correctly with loose lockup.
