US Model 1851 Enlisted Sword Belt Plate with Silvered Wreath
American Civil War
Cast brass rectangular eagle motif plate measuring 3.45" x 2.18", with an overall length of 3.86" with keeper. Silvered one-piece applied wreath below eagle. Back of plate and keeper both bench marked 983. The initials AMK are scratched on the rear face of the plate.
Condition Report
Fine, with a lovely golden patina on the brass and bright silver on the wreath.
