Early 19th Century Artillery Officer's Sword by C. Von Keller
Federal Period
27" blade. 33" overall with hilt. Curved single edged straight back point, 21.5" off-center fullers to both sides, and a 6" false edge. Right side of blade is engraved with floral scroll surrounding a US shield and quiver with arrows, as well as ricasso signed C. v. Kellr. Left side of blade also shows floral scroll engravings surrounding a single cannon, and ricasso is signed a Solingen. Blade shows remnants of brilliant bluing and gold finish to engravings. Hilt is brass with 5-ball details to guard and knuckle bow, and single swept quillon. Pommel is an open beaked eagle. Reeded bone grip.

Condition Report
Fair. Blade has clusters of oxidation scattered overall to both sides. Hilt has darkened discoloration and is somewhat loose. Grip has a crack to right side.
