Lot Description
Lot of Three Modern Percussion Pistols
1.) .44" Caliber. 8" barrel length. SN: 142096. Blued metal finish overall with color casehardened hammer, brass trigger, and varnished walnut two piece grips. Single action percussion six-shot revolver patterned after the Remington New Model Army. Right barrel struck with the maker mark F.LLIPIETTA-MADE IN ITALY. The major components show Italian black powder firing proofs.

2.) .36" Caliber. 7.5" barrel length. SN: 450112. Blued and casehardened metal finish with brass gripstraps and one piece walnut grips. Single action percussion six-shot revolver patterned after the Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver. Cylinder shows weak Ormsby {Naval Engagement} roll engraving and an artificially aged patina overall.

3.) .45" caliber. 8.25" barrel length. SN: NSN. Browned metal finish with brass furnishings and set in a walnut stock with birdshead grips and a wood ramrod. Single shot percussion pistol featuring fixed rear notch and front brass blade sights. The pistol is unsigned and features a fully rifled barrel.

Condition Report
1.) Good. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling. Blued finish shows muzzle wear with a patch of oxidation at the right muzzle and brown patina forming over the left. Some further streaks of brown patina on the interior topstrap. Item shows additional light edgewear. Gray patina forming on the spur of the hammer. Grips show some light scuffs and mars along the edge of the butt. Action times and indexes correctly.

2.) Fair as Artificially Aged. Bore is Frosty with some scattered oxidation throughout. Metal finish is a brown patina with some pinpoint oxidation and scattered mars. The grips show some light mars and dents to the edges of the butt. Action fails to fully index on multiple chambers.

3.) Fair. Bore is Frosty with patched oxidation throughout. The metal finish retains its browned hue with some oxidized spots forming on top of the hammer, surrounding the nipple, and on the muzzle. Brass has a light amber tarnish overall. Wood stocks show a crack forming to the left side of the barrel near the breech and discolored spots over the grips. Action is functional.
