.44 caliber. 7.5" octagon to round barrel. SN: 15011. Blued and color casehardened finish, brass backstrap and triggerguard, one-piece walnut grip. Single action reproduction percussion revolver with a 6-shot round cylinder, aged and remarked to appear to be a period martial Colt Third Model Dragoon. Barrel marked SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY, frame with added COLT'S/PATENT and US markings. All serial numbers re-stamped with "P" inspections added. Frame cut for shoulder stock. Revolver is artificially aged. A good example of an aged reproduction that at five to ten feet could be mistaken for an original but upon closer inspection is clearly of modern manufacture.
Good. Bore very good, mostly bright with some oxidation and crisp rifling. Markings mostly clear. Retains no finish, chemically aged and numbers re-stamped. Needs mechanical attention to function correctly. Grip with wear.
