Lot Description
** Yugoslavian Model 1924 Mauser Sporterized and Engraved
World War II
7.92x57mm. 23.5" barrel length. SN: 101884. Blued metal refinish with jeweled bolt and polished bolt handle mounted in walnut Monte-Carlo style stock with fine checkering and carved embellishments to the wood and steel. Bolt-action repeating rifle fed by an internal box magazine and mounting adjustable rear notch and front bead sights. The top of the barrel along the length of the handguard and the entire receiver have been engraved with spiral scrollwork over a beaded ground. Stock features leaf and spiral carved details framing the checkering, and a {Stag bounding out of the brush} on the right butt. Item mounts front and rear sling swivel studs, and synthetic forend and pistol grip caps with white line spacers. A rubber recoil pad has been installed on the butt.

Condition Report
Very Good as Refinished and Embellished. Bore is Bright with crisp rifling throughout. The reblue shows some muzzle wear and streaking along the length of the barrel forward of the handguard. A gray patina is forming along the bolt handle, and the edges of the cocking piece are wearing down. The jeweling on the bolt shows some scratches and cycling wear. Wood furniture has some flaking of the finish on the edges and on the comb, along with some scattered light dents and mars. A patchwork of scratches has formed over the left stock with a dark discoloration near the forend cap. Recoil pad has hardened with age.
