** Saginaw U.S. M1 Carbine
World War II

.30 carbine. 18" barrel length. SN: 3452815. Parkerized metal finish. Walnut stock has a plain semi pistol grip and forearm. Semi automatic rifle with stamped adjustable rear peep sight and blade front sight with ear protectors. Item features a removable 15-shot magazine, round top bolt, rotary safety, JM marked type-III bayonet lug barrel band, and stock oiler. Stock has low wood, oval cutaway, and two rivet handguard. Markings include SG to upper tang, SAGINAW SG/3452815 to rear of receiver, and US CARBINE/CAL. 30 M1 to front of receiver. Barrel is marked SAGINAW S.G. DIV./GENERAL MOTORS to barrel. Stock is marked with P proof to bottom of grip, and appears to be marked 58 to heel and toe of buttstock, as well as to bottom of grip.

Condition Report

Good. Bore is bright. Finish shows light scratches overall. There are a few clusters of oxidation to magazine. Stock shows some light scratching overall. Handguard possibly replaced at some point.
