** Springfield M1 Garand with June 1943 Dated Barrel

World War II

.30-06. 24" barrel length. SN: 2627388. Parkerized metal finish set in a walnut semi-pistol grip stock with full length upper handguard mounting leather Pattern 1905 sling. Long stroke piston driven gas-operated rifle fed by an internal box magazine charged with en bloc clips. The rear receiver is marked U.S. RIFLE/CAL. .30M1/SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY. The barrel date marking reads 3-S-A-6-43, indicating the barrel was produced in June of 1943. The stock shows no extant markings, indicating it has been replaced and likely sanded. Butt void of tools.

Condition Report

Very Good. Bore is Very Bright with sharp rifling throughout. Parkerized finish shows some cycling wear and light mars. The wood has some light mars and dents to the forend. Sling has some cracking along its length, and abrasions.
