The rifle mounts a low arch breechblock, smooth trigger, two click action, and two piece triggerguard with attached sling loop. Left wrist displays the ESA/1878 inspector cartouche of Erskine S. Allen. Buttplate is US marked, and the barrel is marked V/P/{Eagle Head}. The barrel band is U marked, and the rifle mounts a modern production nylon sling attached to the barrel band and triggerguard.
