Copyright statement to recto, imprint to verso. -- Vignetted bust portrait of Gideon Welles. New York: E. & H.T. Anthony, after Brady, n.d. Imprint to verso. -- Vignetted bust portrait of Gideon Welles. Washington DC: Gardner, n.d. Imprint to verso. -- Half-length profile portrait of Secretary of War William H. Seward. New York: E. Anthony, after Brady, n.d. Illustrated imprint to verso. The paper mount has an uncommon red border. -- Outdoor image of the US Navy Department Building. New York: E. & H.T. Anthony, after Brady, n.p., Imprint to verso. The Navy Department actually occupied "Six Buildings" all in a row on the north side of Pennsylvania Avenue (a seventh structure was added later). Note the horseless carriage parked in front of the structure and the obligatory stack of firework outside of the iron fence on the right. -- Together, 5 albumen CDVs on cardstock mounts. Condition generally very good, with one of the Welles pictures having moderate corner and edge wear, still G+.
