Private David Yonally, Company A, 25th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Soldier's art bone watch chain and brush. Fort Pulaski, GA, 16 October 1864.
14 in. lg. carved bone watch chain comprised of 10 bone panels, attached by metal chain links, incised on both sides and filled in with red paint. First panel reads, "David Yonally Oct. 16 1864” on one side and "Co. A 25. Ohio. V.V.V.I.” on the other side. Attached rectangular bone fob also incised and filled with red paint, “Fort Pulaski Georgia Oct. 16 1864.” Accompanied by 3 1/2 in. bone brush.
David Yonally (spelled Yonly in the roster) was mustered into Company A, 25th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, on 6 October 1862 and mustered out exactly 3 years thereafter.
