Lot Description

Documented .58 caliber Springfield minie ball used in the execution of a Union Army deserter.

Approx. 1 1/2 in. fired mini ball (non dug condition). Accompanied by attached browned ink tag reading, "a bullet after it had passed through a deserter who was shot to death for desertion from the Union Army."
